Brandy

Technically brandy refers to any liquor distilled from fruit wine. It can be made from apples, apricots, cherries, etc. More strictly defined, brandy is generally considered to be distilled from grapes. The most famous of all brandies is Cognac, which adheres to very specific sourcing and production methods.
