Angostura Bitters

Probably the most commonly used concentrated bitter. Made from gentian root and a blend of other herbs and spices. Originally developed as a tonic in the 1830s by a German surgeon general, the recipe is a closely guarded secret. Provides depth, balance and spice to a wide variety of cocktails. A staple for Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Pisco sour.
